Oxygen Connector Y

A Y-connector is a small device shaped like the letter “Y” with three openings. The two shorter openings are designed to fit over the oxygen outlet ports of the two concentrators. In contrast, the longer opening connects the oxygen tubing that delivers the oxygen to the patient.

NOTE:
When using Y-connectors to connect two oxygen concentrators, it is important to ensure that both concentrators are set to the same flow rate and that the total flow rate does not exceed the maximum flow rate of the oxygen delivery system. It is also important to monitor the patient’s oxygen saturation level to ensure that they are receiving the appropriate amount of oxygen.
